Evidence-based practice is the ultimate goal of the Cochrane, and is largely the point of Meta-Analysis and Systematic Reviews in general. The goal is to ensure that medical practice (i.e. clinical decision-making) is informed by proof that the described treatment leads to the expected or stated outcome. Cochrane originated from the stated goal of providing Evidence-based Medicine.
Evidence-based Practice is the intended goal of Practice Guidelines, which are informed by Grading Evidence, discussed under the GRADE section above. The Cochrane site has a list of links to resources describing Evidence-based Practice, which should be consulted.
