AccessMedicine (i.e. ACM or "Access" app) is an online medical resource that provides students with the tools they need to excel in basic and advanced studies, clerkships, and crucial test prep. AccessMedicine is available in the CHSL list of databases and the "Access" app is available for download on mobile devices. ACM provides residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with interactive content, self-assessment, and leading medical texts to enhance decision-making at the point-of-care. It and allows for practicing physicians to brush up on their medicalknowledge to ensure best patient outcomes. It includes a complete full-text library of clinical and basic science textbooks, including Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, 20e, CURRENT Medical Diagnosis & Treatment, The Color Atlas of Family Medicine, 2e, and many others.

How to Download the Free App
Tips: You can set up your account using any email address. We recommend saving your login information using a password manager, usually available on your device. To keep your Access profile authenticated, sign on via your institution’s network every 90 days.

Cases
Cases in AccessMedicine provide materials for short, targeted case-based learning. They vary slightly, but for each case you get a patient history and systems review, short answer questions, clinical pearls, references, and a comprehensive quiz. The results of the quizzes can be emailed and collected for a grade, e.g., student to instructor. Cases are durable URL-enabled and can be linked to in coursework, e.g., LMS course page, lecture slides, syllabus, etc. See the "Linking to Content" box in this guide to find out more about linking to content on AccessMedicine for course integration.
