Study tags are another way of managing inclusion and exclusion criteria by specifying in advance the types of studies you are including in your review and those which you are not. Currently, Covidence has a built in RCT automation feature for Cochrane reviews which offers the potential to immediately (and automatically) exclude any study that is not a randomized controlled trial. Other review types will not allow for this automated feature, but the Study Tags can be use to quickly identify different study types.
