The Eligibility criterial allows you to add terms to your Covidence review which are important to your PICO question. These terms can be highlights to quickly identify relevant studies, with keywords that are likely to indicate inclusion or exclusion criteria.
You can customize full-text exclusion reasons, and save time by listing these in order of importance and working down the list. (See image on left)
You can structure your review criteria using the PICO framework to visualize during title & abstract and full-text review, which will highlight terms that you have indicated are relevant for inclusion and those which are deemed important for exclusion.
Using Highlights allows you to see key terms that may instantly be grounds for exclusion, for instance, if your study is interested only in an elderly population and there are studies which included children. Those terms that are important for inclusion will be highlighted in green during the review stages and those which are marked for exclusion will be highlighted in red.
