Getting Access

Most library resources can be accessed online by authenticating with your CWRU network ID and passphrase.

• Activate your CWRU network ID
  • Not sure if you have a CWRU network ID? Check your CWRU network ID status
• Download & set up DUO Security (Two-factor authentication)

OpenAthens

We use an authentication method called OpenAthens to log in to online resources (both on & off campus).  You may see OpenAthens when logging in to a resource; if so, search for Case Western Reserve University in the 'Find your institution' field and you will be routed to the SSO/Single Sign-On.

Install LibKey Nomad

We highly recommend installing LibKey Nomad, a free browser extension that automatically detects if you have free, full-text access to paid/subscription articles through Case's libraries. 

LibKey Nomad works in most publisher websites and scholarly databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, and more!

Download LibKey Nomad now and choose Case Western Reserve University as your library.
